We are the Artists Hoyt, a married artist team consisting of Summer and Evan Hoyt. Taking inspiration from natural and spiritual themes, our body of work interprets subjects such as mated animal pairs or flocks of birds, uniting them with themes such as passion, loss, and triumph. Summer is a painter and illustrator, and Evan re-interprets her designs with hand-cut stencils. Together we create expressionistic paintings using layers of materials such as acrylic, spray paint, and gouache.
